Eligibility Requirements:
The two Chinese schools that sponsor this program are looking for enthusiastic professional educators:

1. Who are highly flexible and cooperative.
2. Who appreciate and respect the Chinese culture, and who are open-minded about a culture that is different from their own.
3. Who are truly seeking a new cultural experience.
4. Who have excellent work ethic and professionalism.

• Applicants must be residents living in the USA.
• Applicants must be in excellent health condition.  The three-week intensive summer program demands tremendous energy and endurance. This program is inappropriate for applicants who have medical or physical conditions that interfere with their ability to teach and travel in typically hot humid weather.  This program is also inappropriate for applicants who are only looking for an American experience in China or who are expecting things in the American way.
• Applicants must be native speakers of English or fluent English speakers whose language proficiency is close to native.
• Applicants must meet one of the followings:
  1. Current K – 12 Certified Teachers in the USA .
  2. College seniors who will have completed Teacher Credential Program by March 2010.

Priority is given to experienced K-12 credentialed teachers who are currently teaching ESL, foreign language, or core curriculum in K – 12 schools.
