Summer China Travel and Teaching Program
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicants must be native speakers of English or fluent English speakers whose language proficiency is close to native.
Applicants must meet one of the following:
• K – 12 Certified Teachers in North America.
• Senior College/University Students in Teacher Credential Program.
• College/University Instructors with K-12 and / or ESL teaching experience.

Note:  The schools give selection priority to the following qualified candidates:

  • K - 12 certified teachers who have taught ESL or who are currently teaching ESL.
  • K - 12 certified teachers who hold an ESL certificate.

Application Deadline:  January 31, 2008
Note: Prospective candidates who apply later than the deadline will be placed on the waiting list.

• A Copy of Valid K – 12 Teaching Credential and/or ESL certificate. 
  Note: If you do not have a K-12 teaching credential or ESL certificate, please include your college / university transcripts.
• A Copy of Current Resume.
• A Recent Photo.
Incomplete application will NOT be processed.

Application Procedure:
• All teaching positions are competitive and will only be open until they are filled. Prospective candidates will be interviewed by phone.  Top selected candidates will be notified via email in February, 2008 and offered contracts by the Chinese schools.  All selected teachers must confirm their participation by signing the contract and release waiver.

• Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible in order to reserve their selection and to allow sufficient processing time for passport (if you do not have one), visa application, and group flight reservation.

Note: This is more important this year due to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.  Also, there is NO application fee.
